The Patrol

THIS IS A VERY HEAVY ITEM. THE PICS ARE ONE THING THE REALITY IS AN ABSOLUTELY STUNNING COAT THAT EXUDES FINESSE AND QUALITY ALL OVER. THE ZIPS AND SNAP FASTENERS DO TAKE TIME GETTING USE TO AS THEY ARE A BIT STIFF. HAVE PATIENCE. A SIZE 44 IS A PERFECT FIT.
BE PREPARED FOR LOTS OF ADMIRING GLANCES.

This is a fantastic jacket. Thick supple leather, heavy duty hardware and excellent quality at a very reasonable price.

Far too good to wear on a motorcycle. Bought myself a cheaper one for the bike. This I wear in the winter for trips to the pub etc. Very heavy but so warm and comfy. Looks good, keeps you warm and dry and very often attracts complimentary comments. Win win.

The original Goldtop kit was almost out of production by the time I started riding regularly in the nineties, but I was pleased to learn that the name was back. I made a trip to the shop as a pilgrimage to see the new brand and, man, I was impressed! The quality is superb and the prices are very competitive even compared to less well-made mainstream kit. I bought a Bobber jacket when I visited and then 3 months later I bought a “Patrol” jacket for a different kinda bike after trying one on during my visit. I have a Belstaff trialmaster in leather and in comparison the Belstaff costs three times the money for a quarter of the jacket. The Belstaff is fine for strolling between wine-bars in dry weather, but the Goldtop Patrol is a great jacket, with some decent protection, for keeping warm on long rides. Also, I’d like to add that the father and son running the place are very welcoming and easy to deal with, and there’s no pressure fomr them if you visit the shop. I wish the shop was nearer to where I live, but I’d probably spend more money if it was…
